Widowed Parenting

Whether the death is sudden or comes after a long illness, losing a spouse or partner can be devastating. Your life changes completely after the loss of a spouse. Grief and sadness accompany your loss.
When a spouse dies, both men and women experience many of the same feelings. However, there are also differences. As you cope with the emotions and lifestyle changes brought about by the loss of your spouse, you probably feel overwhelmed and anxious about the future.
The lived experiences of those who have experienced the death of a spouse or a partner, or who are supporting someone who has been bereaved, can teach you how you can begin to understand the feelings and the needed support that will allow you to journey through your own grieving process.
