Please share your story with us
Every story about the loss of a loved one is important. We invite you to share your story with us here, whether you have been bereaved or if you have supported a bereaved friend or family member. We would love to hear your story.
You have an inspiring story to share. It is helpful to share your stories because they are powerful learning tools.
Who can Share their story?
We are looking for stories from the perspectives of people who have been bereaved, experiences from family members, friends, and professionals who have supported or helped someone bereaved during their grieving process.
Why is it helpful to share your story?
Your story as someone who has been bereaved or as someone who has supported someone who has been bereaved can
- Inspire, offer hope, and remind those grieving that despite their journeys being different, someone has walked in their shoes.
- Provide the needed encouragement and support that the social network of the newly bereaved needs so that they can support their bereaved loved ones with care
Your stories will also help raise awareness of lessons learnt and best practices so that together we can create grief sensitive and friendly communities
Your story can inspire people, encourage people to speak up, change attitudes, challenge stigmatization, and help Balanced Wheel reach as many people as possible so that they too can heal, rebalance and rebuild their lives.
In addition, stories can inspire people to fundraise, volunteer and raise awareness of the needs of the bereaved, and ensure they remain a public and political priority.
Stories are a powerful learning tool. Everyone has stories to tell. Each story is unique and powerful.
